What’s been happening:

Submitted by Mary Hamman Erwin Cal Erwin and I were married right after my graduation from PSU (1943) in Miami, FL. He was a Lieutenant in the USNR. His ship had come in for repairs and a month later, Cal returned to the sea. I acquired a dietitian's job at Joseph Hornes Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. After the war, we bought a house in Philadelphia, PA. Cal worked for Haskin and Sells and later changed to IBM. One year later, he was called to report to the USN in Yokosuka, Japan. Our first child, daughter Tanya Lee, and I left to join him later. We lived in Japan for two years. Two baby boys arrived in 1953 and 1956 and we moved from Allentown, PA to New Canaan, CT. After 13 moves we moved to Tokyo, Japan as Cal was promoted to be the head of The Far Eastern Area for IBM. After three years in Tokyo we moved to Greenwich, CT. Now, forty-six years later, I am still living in the same house. Cal has moved on to higher ground. I have completed 29 years at Preferred Properties, Inc in Greenwich and am currently Vice President, married to Dick Hammer, an ardent Bucknell alumnus. PSU was always a Light House for Cal and I as our memories for friendship, education and lessons learned beyond book learning have guided us happily through all these years.
